cinta belajar merupakan salah satu bentuk manifestasi pendidikan yang sangat diperlukan oleh guru juga oleh murid. Tanpa adanya rasa kecintaan terhadap hal yang kita pelajari, proses pendidikan pada akhirnya tidak akan menjadi perjalanan yang dapat dinikmati dengan baik.

Pendidikan akan menjadi dasar pilar pembentuk karakter dan pemikiran seseorang. Akan sangat sulit jika Guru terlalu berfokus pada nilai atau model pembelajaran, sehingga melupakan esensi untuk membuat murid dapat benar-benar memahami pembelajaran karena mereka memiliki kesenangan atau kecintaan untuk belajar. Proses perkembangan potensi & kualitas diri memang pastinya tidak akan luput dari konsep pendidikan yang bersinergi seiring perjalanan pendewasaan tiap individu. Dan tidak keliru jika para orang tua akhirnya semakin selektif dalam memilih instansi pendidikan yang dirasa paling sesuai dengan potensi ananda.

Selaras dengan tantangan tersebut, Millennia World School hadir memberikan peran sebagai instansi pendidikan yang menekankan perkembangan secara Holistik, dimana semua kegiatannya diintegrasikan secara menyeluruh melalui kemampuan praktikal artistik siswa dan perkembangan intelektualitas. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan rasa keingintahuan, rasa cinta belajar, juga bagaimana pentingnya makna dan tujuan hidup, agar mampu menggali potensi, minat, juga mengasah bakat.

Millennia World School menerapkan sebuah filosofi yang disebut dengan H.A.P.P.I.N.E.S.S, yang merupakan singkatan dari Health, Artistic ability, Practical skills, Passion, Intellect, Naturalistic ability, Excellence, Social responsibility, and Spiritual well-being.

Pastinya setiap ananda akan mampu mencetak prestasi, tidak hanya dalam bidang akademik saja, namun juga dalam bidang non-akademik sesuai dengan kecerdasannya masing-masing. Karena manusia memiliki kecerdasan jamak yang terdiri dari kecerdasan linguistik, kecerdasan matematis-logis (Logical & quantitative Thinking), kecerdasan visual-spasial, kecerdasan kinestetik – jasmani, kecerdasan musikal, kecerdasan naturalis, kecerdasan interpersonal, kecerdasan intrapersonal, dan kecerdasan existential. 

Karena tiap individu itu unik, jadi rasanya kurang tepat jika tenaga pengajar atau orang tua hanya menitikberatkan kemampuan anak pada satu bidang saja tanpa melihat kemampuannya di bidang yang lain. Mengutip dari kata-kata Albert Einstein :

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid”.

Lalu kembali ke pertanyaan dasarnya lagi, sudah sejauh manakah kita sebagai orang tua memahami  juga mewadahi karakter serta potensi anak? Sudah tepatkah kita sebagai orang tua, memposisikan diri kita? dan sudah sejauh manakah dukungan kita untuk memaksimalkan potensi & minat anak-anak kita?

Besar harapan sekolah Millennia sebagai salah satu sekolah yang turut mampu mendukung anak-anak Indonesia menjadi manusia yang berkarakter baik, dan mendapatkan pendidikan yang layak. Semoga bangsa yang besar ini dapat semakin menumbuhkan rasa cinta belajar dan tidak takut untuk mencoba atau gagal. Karena menghargai dan belajar kegagalan merupakan satu langkah menuju keberhasilan yang besar.

OUR FRAMEWORK

Our curriculum utilizes the full range of activities that are designed to enrich creative young minds. We use Finnish Waldorf Framework integrated with Indonesian National Curriculum, subjects are seamlessly integrated with each other providing nuance, context, understanding and deeper learning. Our deep and varied curriculum includes age-appropriate, rigorous academic work, as well as rich artistic experiences that combine to make learning an adventure, not a chore.
